Welcome to Bodmin Roadrunners.
The aim of the club setting up was to fill the void of a lack of a unisex running club in Bodmin itself, and provide a club for people to be able to train seriously for events, and also just simply to have fun and keep fit. Hence, Bodmin Road Runners (BRR) was born and whatever the reason you enjoy running, they promise to be there to support you at every step.
The club currently meets three times a week, twice at the Gymnasium on Walker Lines Industrial Estate and once on Mount Folly outside the shop. Please check out the website to find out the days/times of the runs and to find something suitable for you to join - whether you just want to go out for a bit of fitness or are training for an upcoming event.
On the training runs they generally have 3 groups out and about. One group will run approx 4 miles at about a 10m/m pace, the second about 6 miles at about a 9m/m pace and finally the third group will aim to run somewhere between 8-10 miles at about an 8m/m pace. All the groups have the option for members to break away if they feel a burst of energy, then doubling back at set points on the routes until they pick up the group again. In every group no one gets left behind and the overall progress of the group will be at the pace of the slowest runner.
